We have Get Online Groups in many of the market towns in Shropshire. These groups are run by volunteer mentors who support members of their community to learn how to use the internet and email for the first time. The groups are mainly held in the local library and are very small and informal. All the learners are given 1-1 support from a member of the local community who volunteers as a group mentor. One of our aims is to make the groups sustainable and part of that process it to give them back to the community. In order for us to do this we need volunteer administrators to organise the Learners and Volunteer Mentors.
